Great write up as always.

Got reminded of Plato's philosopher king ideal with your educated man appeal 🙂

I am a sucker for "you get what you deserve not what you desire" knowing very well that the just world fallacy is a thing ...!

What is the procedure to vote pundits out??

Democracy is really an exercise in choosing badly, recovering, and then choosing badly again, except with a lot of emotion each time. We mistake the cycle of disappointments for the motion of progress.

You said it.

Sorry, we don’t do “pun”dits any more!

One has to read “How to….?” Series of books by George Mikes.

A telling essay. Here in Tamil Nadu, the party that lost the election and the new dispensation are no different from Orban and his successor. Nothing is a watershed moment, a much cliched phrase. That apart, I hear that Hungary is a beautiful country, and Budapest, on the banks of Danube,is one of most beautiful cities in the world. Further the great Music composer Miklos Rozsa and my favourite author George Mikes are Hungarians. George Mikes later became a naturalised Englishman. I too thought myself wise when I voted. No I am waiting to EXHALE.
